It goes without saying that Israel has one of the most progressive attitudes towards medical Cannabis in the world. The discovery of the EndoCannabinoid System and from that, a deeper understanding behind the numerous potentially beneficial effects that Cannabis has on mammals goes to Israeli Professor Raphael Mechulam and his team. A team of 15 Israeli scientists have just released a peer reviewed paper that confirms that cannabis can provide relief of symptoms experienced by cancer suffers. This study confirmed what cancer survivor Bruce Smith to Entourage Oil in this video interview featured on our website.
The study was initiated to add to the growing body of research that verifies the benefits and safety of the plant’s use by cancer patients, performed in a clinical setting. Over 300 oncology patients formed the research sample and they were assessed over one, three and six month follow-ups by the research team. The six month cohort reported the most significant improvement in related symptoms. Their average age was 64 and 59 percent were woman. “The results of this study suggest that Medical Cannabis treatment is generally safe for oncology patients and can potentially reduce the burden of associated symptoms with no serious Medical Cannabis-related adverse effects.” The report said. The report went on to say “Many comorbidities (conditions that exist together with the Cancer symptoms ) are associated with oncology diseases. Cancer-associated symptoms include pain, anxiety, depression, insomnia, decreased quality of life, increased disability and negative effects on sexuality. These symptoms are some of the most fundamental causes of oncology patients suffering and disability while undergoing therapies, and some may even lead to worsened prognosis. Though well-known and documented, there is no optimal treatment for all of these comorbidities as of yet.” Most importantly the study found that Cannabis use led to a 20 percent drop in all patients median pain intensity level while the quality of their sleep, anxiety and overall quality of life improved. The Research paper can be found on FRONTIERS. https://www.frontiersin.org/.../fpain.2022.861037/full Cancer has a way of touching all of our lives and this study will go a long way to challenge the stigma associated with Cannabis use in improving the outcome and we hope improve the dignity and quality of life of the victims of cancer. Looking forward to hearing from you...
